Riverpark
Medical Center incorporates a Digital Imaging Center, which
offers patients a level of technological excellence, convenience
and accountability unparalleled in the Miss-Lou area.
We're proud to feature the trend setting equipment from General
Electric (GE) Medical, the leader in diagnostic imaging. Among
the FIRSTS for our region are a high resolution MRI, four
times the resolution and speed of an open MRI. We offer Multi-slice
Light Speed CT, giving your physician up to 4X the information
of conventional spiral CT. In addition we have one of the
first digital mammography units in the south allowing the
physician to zoom in, magnify, and optimize different parts
of breast tissue without having to take another image. To
compliment Digital Mammography we have added the FDA approved
Computer Aided Detection (CAD) system which acts as a "second
pair of eyes" for the radiologist. CAD works by applying
a mathematical algorithm that digitally scans every inch of
your mammogram and highlights all potential regions of interest.
Our digital radiology Picture Archiving and Communication
System (PACS) will make consultations and second opinions
easily available anywhere the Internet can take you.
We also offer 3-D ultrasound, digital fluoroscopy, digital
x-ray, and osteoporosis evaluation (bone density).
We believe our patients deserve the best today and tomorrow,
that's why we have made a long-term commitment to keeping
both technology and equipment current.
