| Since the discovery of x-ray over a century ago, the field of radiology has advanced at a rapid rate. From multi-slice CT Scan and high resolution MRI to Digital Mammography, and Radiology Picture Archiving Systems and more, our Digital Imaging Center is committed to bringing the latest technology to our area but more importantly, we're committed to keeping our technology current. Dr. Fred G. Emrick completed his undergraduate work at Mississippi State University, Starkville, MS in 1972. He received his M.D. in 1976 from University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, MS. Following an internship there he completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson in 1980. He has published research papers by the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Division of Ultrasound, Department of Radiology and by the Mississippi State Medical Association. Dr. Emrick entered the U. S. Air Force, achieving the rank of Major. He was appointed Diagnostic Radiologist at USAF Regional Hospital (SAC) at March AFB, CA in 1980. During this time he served as Medical Director, Phase II Physician Assistant Program at March. In 1982 he entered private practice as Diagnostic Radiologist with Radiology Associates in Natchez, MS. He has served as Chief of Staff at both Natchez Regional Medical Center and Natchez Community Hospital.
