We're proud to feature the trend setting equipment from General Electric (GE) Medical, the leader in diagnostic imaging. Among the FIRSTS for our region are a high resolution MRI, four times the resolution and speed of an open MRI. We offer Multi-slice Light Speed CT, giving your physician up to 4X the information of conventional spiral CT. In addition we have one of the first digital mammography units in the south allowing the physician to zoom in, magnify, and optimize different parts of breast tissue without having to take another image. To compliment Digital Mammography we have added the FDA approved Computer Aided Detection (CAD) system which acts as a "second pair of eyes" for the radiologist. CAD works by applying a mathematical algorithm that digitally scans every inch of your mammogram and highlights all potential regions of interest. Our digital radiology Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) will make consultations and second opinions easily available anywhere the Internet can take you.
We also offer 3-D ultrasound, digital fluoroscopy, digital x-ray, and osteoporosis evaluation (bone density).
We believe our patients deserve the best today and tomorrow, that's why we have made a long-term commitment to keeping both technology and equipment current.
Our Medical Director, Dr. Fred G. Emrick, has clinical expertise in every modality we offer including: High Resolution MRI, Digital Mammography and Multi-slice CT. Dr. Emrick is committed to providing a new standard of radiological excellence to our region by implementing quality protocols on all diagnostic equipment.
Jill Brown, RT (R) R.D.M.S., Director of Imaging Services, leads a team of registered radiology technologists in providing professional and personal service to every patient. The primary objective of the Riverpark Digital Imaging Center is to meet the imaging needs of all area physicians and healthcare providers by assuring quality services in a timely manner.
Our Imaging Center will offer pre-admission of patients, private admission areas, prompt and courteous service, patient information with regard to exam preparation, post procedure follow up and patient education. We offer a relaxed environment by providing a private consultation area, separate dressing and waiting areas for men and women, and “ a personal touch ” that includes availability of robes and a warm blanket during your procedure.
